Alla Prima/Still Life Painting, Monday June 1st, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Instructor Leeanna Chipana welcomes adult students interested learning an academic approach to drawing and painting. Students will be introduced to atelier methods. Materials and techniques will be discussed. Demo's and critiques provided and students will paint during sessions.

 

Middle School/High School Art Program, Monday June 1st  4p.m. - 6 p.m.

Instructor Leeanna Chipana welcomes middle school and high school students interested in beginning to build their art portfolio's. The students will learn portion control, form, and value.  Sketchbooks and pencils are      required. 

 

Watercolor, Tuesday June 2nd, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.​​​

 

Instructor Bill Graf welcomes students interested in learning how to use

Watercolor. Bill offers step by step approach to watercolor. Students will

work alongside him. Online and demonstrations will be provided.

Intro to Photoshop with James Beihl, Tuesday June 2nd, 10a.m.- 12 p.m.

The class serves as an introduction to Photoshop in the context of making

 

digital art. In each individual class we will go over a new tool that

 

Photoshop has and how to effectively leverage that tool towards creating

 

dynamic, fun, and engaging art. The lessons are designed to be fun, and 

 

facilitate the acquisition of new

         

skills. This class is designed for teens and up. 

 

Portrait/ Still Life Painting with Bill Graf, Wednesday June 3rd, 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Here the instructor will introduce the Frank Reilly palette as well as a free palette approach. The portrait model used will be the same as the drawing, this way the students who choose this   method can transfer the drawing from the drawing to the canvas.​​​​​

 

Pet Portraits, Wednesday June 3rd, 2 p.m.-4 p.m with Linda Catucci 

Turn your favorite snapshots into remarkable artwork that captures your pet’s personality. In-depth instruction by Linda Catucci, pet portrait artist, who will teach you how to capture fur and feather textures, expressions and details that make your drawings lifelike. Learn the basic concepts of drawing: value, shape, form, lighting and composition to bring animals to life in graphite pencil.

 

Still Life & Portrait Drawing, Thursday June 4th, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The instructor will do a short demonstration on how to begin drawing

from the 2 dimentional image. There will be great emphasis on

“construction”, how to measure and see shape relationships, then

creating a strong sense of light & shade throughout the drawing.

 

Beginner Drawing, Thursday, June 4th, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Focusing on beginners, the students will be asked to begin drawing a grouping of geometric shapes under a form light situation, near a window or a lamp light any light that would show light and shadow on the forms. They are to draw the relationships of the overlapping shapes, once the delineation of the contours are drawn, the students will begin to process of shading the forms.

 

Youth Anime and Graphic Novel Design, Friday June 5th, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.  

Instructor James Beihl welcomes students ages 10-14 who are interested in learning anime design, character development, comic book arts and animation.

 

Art and Art History for the Young, Saturday June 6th, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. 

Open to ages 7 - 11 years old. Linda offers a positive, fun, and engaging online environment for kids by showing her students an Art History YouTube video lesson each week about an artist. The students then              create their own interpretation of what they have learned from a selected piece.  

 

Fundamentals of Graphic Novel Creation, Saturday

June 6th, 2 p.m - 5 p.m.

 

Instructor James Beihl welcomes students interested in graphic novel

design. Come join him as he dives into the other worldly creation of comic

books and character designs.
